[FINDINGS #3] DOWNLOADING VIDEOS FROM YOUTUBE
DOWNLOADING VIDEOS FROM YOUTUBE
1. http://www.keepvid.com/
This is one of the most common method I use for downloading youtube videos. If the video is out there in youtube, then it is practically up for the grabs. All you have to do while using this site is copy the youtube link (it also supports links from many other video sharing websites) and paste it right there in the space provided. This site lets you download the audio alone,if you trying to download just the song, not the video.
However you do have to install a java plugin (which usually gets to your nerves) if you are using it for the first time. And after that installation, its going to ask whether the browser may use the java plugin inorder to begin the download. Just check the "automatically load java plugin" or the "I trust this website" thing that appears which will help it all go away.
so on your system- yes definitely it works, but on a new system you need to find time for downloading the plugin as well.
moving on
2. "ssyoutube"
This is a unique case where I cannot specify the link. Basically what you have got to do is add an "ss" between the "www." and the "youtube.com/watch......."
so this is what a sample of that being done correctly is going to look like
www.ssyoutube.com/watch?v=LMuBTW2Kpf0
so hit enter and voila ! you are taken to a new website that looks something like this -
You know the rest-select the type of file, the quality and download. This site may not work on copy right protect videos, you know, the ones you have to pay for, inorder to watch. And also I have found that occasionally it just does not open for no reason at all. Strange.
3. IDM-Internet Download Manager.
Getting IDM installed in your system is the first step. It can be easily obtained via torrents. The main advantage of IDM over normal downloading being the ability to pause your downloads, and the fact that it downloads the video by parts, which gives a slight advantage in terms of speed. When you are downloading HD videos that are hundreds of MBs in size, IDM sure lets you pause the download and continue at a later time.
4. Mozilla Firefox Plugins
When it comes to using firefox plugins for video downloads there are few options. The ones I would recommend are :-
Flash video downloader
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/flash-video-downloader/?src=search
Video download helper
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/?src=search
1 clickyoutube download
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1-click-youtube-video-downl/?src=search
so once these plugins or addons are installed you might have to restart firefox, But after that you will be delighted to find some new buttons in your firefox window, which will activate themselves in the presence of downloadable content. It even lets you select the type of file you want to download, and so on.
cheers ! Enjoy !

[FINDINGS #2] TOP WEBSITES FOR EASIER WORK FLOW
TOP WEBSITES FOR EASIER WORK FLOW
1. https://www.google.co.in
Unquestionably, internet life simply cannot proceed normally without this magnificent search engine, everyone knows that, right from the moment they start using the internet. No one ever said 'lets yahoo it' or 'lets bing it'
its always been 'lets google it' or 'did you google it?'
'you did? still cant find it? then its better stop looking yaar'
yes thats the true story. THE END.
2. http://www.dafont.com/
This here is THE WEBSITE FOR FREE FONTS. It lets you download any font of your chosing, whenever you want, totally for free.and this site even sorts fonts based on the theme you are probably looking for, which in itself places it ahead of any other font sites I know of. I got the link off of a digit magazine a couple of years ago. Back then the site was so clean without any ads at all. But these days it takes a tiny bit more time to load and has ads. Sad. But the fun still remains. For any image editing work as well as presentation/video editing, cool fonts, here we come !
3. http://www.wikipedia.org/
Come on ! This is the online encyclopedia. How can any quest for online knowledge be complete without this endless universe of information? This here is perhaps the website I end up, whenever iam looking for answers or trying to dig up new facts about something. Movies, cars, music, people be it anything, let it be everything. Wikipedia has got them all !
4.http://www.youtube.com/
Aha ! Its the universal video streaming website out there. Popular than any other website when it comes to online video sharing, as far as concerned, this site HAD BETTER DAYS. Earlier youtube used to play videos so easily without any ads or annoying popup ads. But nowadays you find yourself waiting (praying) for the video to actually start buffering, then its 'shit theres an ad' and you wait (hope) that you can skip the ad in 5 seconds but 'shit its a full ad' and you end up closing the video altogether. Sorry uploader, you are unlucky !
That and add the 'Google+' mandatory condition for becoming a youtube user makes me repeat, this site had better days. But otherwise youtube videos are accepted norm of income for many out there, advertisers and wannabe professional filmmakers alike. Its links are accepted on a wide range of websites from facebook to blogs. The reason this website has to be included in such a list is because these days you could find a video, which is more intuitive than reading a whole bunch of text to learn and do almost anything you want. On videos teaching you how to make a paper plane to those which teach you complex softwares, this video sharing website sure helps you a lot on whatever project you ever have to work on.
5. https://answers.yahoo.com/
Though not as popular among most of than the other websites mentioned above, this one has its own goodness. Supposing you are searching for a specific problem, say a software issue with your cellphone, you search for support about the problem on the internet and chances are, someone has already asked the same thing at yahoo answers, and off you go clicking on the link and most of the time you would end up with the solution to your problem. A website where users can ask as well as help others by answering their questions and an insane scoring system for your answering skills, this site saves tons of time where you spend thinking stuff up.
6. http://images.google.com/
Whenever you are searching for that special car (actress) you saw in that movie or when you are searching for new sick wallpapers for your PC, this is the website you want to visit. Popularity is more for the image based search engine by the king of search engines, google over yahoos flickr. Hell, no one really remembers the last time they used flickr. Earlier google images used to have 'visually similar' search option which has now been replaced with a drag and drop search, which not only looks up similar images, but essentially tells you 'what' the image is,and also shows you in which other websites the image is being used. COOL and came in handy for more times than i care to mention. GO GOOGLE.
7. http://torrentz.in/
One has to admit, this is the easiest simplest site there is, for finding the torrent files you are looking for. It list torrents from reputed websites like piratebay, katph extratorrent, etrg, etc....
Loads quickly, shows seed/leach date/time added and even verifies the torrent with a green tick mark. what more does anyone want? Not many days go by without most of us visiting this website in the quest for new movies.

[FINDINGS #1] Top 10 Softwares that I cannot live without
Top 10 Softwares that I cannot live without
1. utorrent
one has to admit, this is the mother of all softwares on a PC,well where you download everything from the web,you need to have the best softwares for handling your torrent.
For me utorrent is the best one out there, its light, its fast, its powerful.Go for it.
2. Wondershare Video Converter Platinum
This one is a no brainer. With just 10MB in installation setup size and preloaded presets for almost all mainstream video formats, this converter is fast and powerful and also very simple to use. This one can also flip, resize and trip videos. It can boost audio while converting and various other options that include auto shutdown after conversion and also it can handle a wide array of file formats in and out-wise.
its all the converter i have been using since 2008 and its all i have ever needed in a converter. Its always available in torrent and Mr. #1 will always help you to get it :)
3. Adobe Photoshop
Undoubtedly the most powerful ,most popular , most widely used , most reliable image manipulation software there is in the world, adobe photoshop with its timely updated versions come at the right time when you need them. This one gets into your system into such levels that you forget how to use other image editing softwares (MS Paint, even) eventually. Theres nothing much that has to be said along with this. Its the best, end of story.
4. VLC Media Player
Can be called as 'Play anything player' this one can even 'play' images. Well its just saying that once you drag and drop whatever the hell it was you thought was a media file, VLC simply manages to play them all,no matter what. The only problem of this one being the encouragement it gives Laptop users to increase the volume boost upto 400% which has destroyed onboard speakers more than often. VLC can seek fast, play videos with effect, frame by frame, slow motion, even backwards.
5. Picasa
As far as the user friendliness on image viewers goes, you will find picasa at the very farthest end. This image viewer comes packed with the crazy fast loading speed it has always had,no matter what system its being run in. It can open almost all image types, (GIF not included) and seeking, slideshowing through your images are a lot fun in this one. It even comes with and onboard image editor with eventhough cannot be compared to anything what #3, photoshop can do, it pretty easily and neatly gets collages and photo tiling done. in fact its the easiest software i know of,in which this can be done at all. The one drawback i found while using this software being the fact that it begins searching for all the image files THERE IS on your system that it gets annoying and loads your temp data with all the images inside your HDD. ANNOYING especially when you have files in your system that you dont 'want' 'everyone' to see (if you know what i mean).
6. Mozilla Firefox/Google Chrome
I cant decide between which one is more cool. Basically my usage shifts between these two so much that i forget which one iam using most of the times. But this shifting happens so seamlessly that i had to place them both together. They are pretty much the top web browsers (no offence opera,i dont like you,i just dont) out there and being lightning fast in their performances. However from a tech and geek standpoint,i would give Firefox the upperhand because of its various plug ins, which will help you to even block youtube ads,and go on to block flash, download flash, right off of webpages and do lot more, like viewing the webpage in 3d,editing its code, script and content. Just awesome. And yes,for those who are thinking 'but chrome has INCOGNITO' , try opening firefox, and tap CTRL+SHIFT+P. (toing !)
7. K-Lite media Codec Pack
This is the tool that mostly helps #4, VLC from doing his job. This is the ultimate codec package that basically makes your EVERY player play EVERYTHING. Once installed this thing needs no updating,it stays in your system forever ,its only when you are in front of another system and when you try playing a media file that requires codec support, thats when you think to yourself , "it would have played in my PC." True that, with K-lit,it certainly would.
8. Adobe Premiere Pro
For those who are into startup video editing, a year ago, i would have went ahead started mentioning cyberlink power director 8, windows movie maker, corel dvd etc etc etc. But if you are in the blessed presence of a system thats good enough to run Premiere Pro, totally go for it. In all this time I have never seen anything like this one, because of the ease in which it was able to handle various file types ( a little help from #7 ) of various sizes in various location. The editing that can be done is precise crisp smooth and fast. Yes it wont reach the special effects level on After Effects, but for making more that enough awesome presentation and birthday party montages, this one easily fits the package. I was able to edit 10 movie clips with different audio and images, thats 5 from one HDD 2 from the onboard HDD and 3 from another HDD, all in a single go,without even a hiccup. Thats how cool Premiere Pro is.
9. IDM Internet Download Manager
Whenever there is slow internet speed, where there is competition for such a slow speed, internet download manager surely helps. It utilizes the connection speed thats available at any time to the maximum, also it lets you pause your current downloads and even add URLs for downloading, postpone downloads and many more. Getting the right version of IDM via, you guessed it, torrents and preventing it from ever updating itself is the key to keeping this software with you for a long time.
10. Word Web
Yes this is the last and least important one as it might seem, but it has been a tiny little friend i've always had in any system that i have ever used. Just a few MB's at most in size, this little guy is a dictionary that sits low on your start bar and can help you find word meanings easily and unlike various other 'heavier' ones out there, this one is quite and helps you whenever you need it the most->Characters of a good dicitonary software.

The 3rd Dimension #1
To start off, this is my first attempt at modelling using maya 2011.
I designed my pencil, the pencil which has been with me since 2007.
Its my first try,so no lighting,no textures...just the model
A month into it and you find yourself creating bigger things
this is the Lighthouse of Alexandria, well a replica of it.
Looked pretty neat for an amateur work.
